Groceries are something to talk about. What other subject holds the interest of everyone other than food, and is this safe to talk about? Clothes go in and out of fashion so quickly, while food is always "in". What we need to worry about whenever groceries are concerned, is quality. There is a general rule that is a cliche here in the United States - "garbage in, garbage out". Here is another cliche, "You are what you eat". Frequently, I find that reading the food label steers me away from chemical food, although, sometimes, the cheap price tag is too much of a lure, and I end up buying what I know will cost me more in the long run. We all do things like this, we all need to improve our buying habits where groceries are concerned.
The object of purchasing groceries is to eat. We get the comestibles, the food, the beverages, the implements back to the household. We might be hungry enough to snack on the food on the way back.We might be ready to prepare the food as soon as we return back to the household. Food is food, and we eat in order to maintain our bodies. Pragmatically speaking, we need food in order to survive. We modern people are lucky to be able to buy our food from the grocery store or supermarket. Preparing food that we hope will be edible or delicious is a reasonable activity, as well as a functional one. Some of us eat to live, others of us live to eat - we all use food, though. There are places to purchase food such as farmer's markets, delis, restaurants, wholesale distributors, membership clubs, drugstores, cafeterias, dollar stores, vending machines, liquidation centers and sometimes even thrift stores sell foodstuff.
Some of us are calorie conscious, some of us count our calories to watch our weight when we eat food.
We all use groceries. We all need groceries. Groceries are important to us. We go on visits to someplace that sells food to us, all of us, or we allow the food to be prepared for us by someone else who visits the grocer for us.
