The Waldbaum's near the Baldwin, NY LIRR station is closing. There is a 25% off sale on all groceries. This store will be open from 7am to 7 pm during this sale. The era of bringing a sack of groceries home after the commute, or on the way to work is over, evidently.
H&Y Markets under construction
The latest addition to grocery shopping will be on Old Country Road in Plainview. The location appears to be an excellent one, near South Oyster Bay Road.
Johns Farms is still in Plainview, also on Old Country Road, and has a clientele large enough to fill the parking lot with traffic most days. The selection of produce is excellent at Johns Farms.

This is a local supermarket chain, comprised of nine grocery stores. The produce department offers some excellent choices in fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices, such as calabazas, collard greens, yautia linda, yautia blanca.
